Chris Flouhouse graduated with a degree in business management from North Carolina State University in 1998. Since 1999, Chris Flouhouse has worked for Wells Fargo Securities and its predecessor companies in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Wells Fargo sponsors the Wells Fargo Championship, an annual men’s professional golf tournament and PGA TOUR event. The tournament began in 2003, but at the time was called the Wachovia Championship. After Wells Fargo purchased Wachovia in 2008, it changed the tournament's name to the Quail Hollow Championship, after the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2011, the name was changed once again, this time to the Wells Fargo Championship.
The event was held at Quail Hollow every year until 2017, when the Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, played host. However, the tournament is scheduled to return to Quail Hollow for both 2018 and 2019. The course is a favorite for many golfers, and the final three holes are so difficult, they are known as the “The Green Mile.”
